Spiritual giant Loren Cunningham shared in 1999 at their staff conference: “as the Silk Road expanded from one side to the other of Central Asia, so will the River of God flow throughout that entire region…and when Central Asians begin going from east to west, and from west to the east with the Gospel, there will be an incredible overflow into all the areas of that land.”
Gathering of Leaders
In May 2024, the Cunningham Legacy Tour brought together over 120 leaders from 21 nationalities in a strategic Central Asian city for a regional leadership gathering. The team, including Giacomo Coghi, David Hamilton, Trent Sheppard, and Geeta M., facilitated this powerful event focused on commitment to Jesus and advancing their rich legacy into new regions.
Prophetic Beginnings
Alessandro P opened with a reflection on Loren Cunningham’s 1999 prophecy about the Gospel spreading through Central Asia like the Silk Road. Egbert Z’s talk on Paul and Timothy emphasized the importance of spiritual mentorship, which was followed by a moving “Father’s Blessing” in every Central Asian language during Loren’s Celebration of Life.
Embracing and Expanding Legacy
Giacomo highlighted the significance of family legacy, urging participants to receive, expand, and pass it on. David Hamilton shared insights on the Y Four Legacy Words and delivered an inspiring message from Isaiah 43 about God doing a new thing. Trent Sheppard led an intercession session for spreading their mission throughout Central Asia, and guided discussions on the legacy of the University of the Nations.
Cultural Celebration
The gathering featured a vibrant cultural “Love Feast,” where attendees dressed in local attire, shared gifts, celebrated the Lord’s Supper, and danced into the night.
Commitment to the Future
The event concluded with a collective commitment to continue following Jesus and carrying their legacy to every unreached area of Central Asia.
